Key differences
Collection timing: Blast's fishermen collect fish money symbols in both base and bonus play. The original Bonanza's published rules describe money collection during free spins. Blast's base-game fishermen can also carry a random multiplier up to 10×.
Bonus entry: Three to five scatters award five to nine free spins in Blast, versus ten, fifteen or twenty in original Bonanza. Blast also has a hook that can add the missing third scatter when two land.
Retrigger progression: Blast grants five extra spins for each seventh wild, while Bonanza grants ten for each fourth wild. Both progress through 2×, 3× and 10× bonus multipliers. The thresholds alone do not tell you which feature is more likely to pay more; that also depends on the game's full probability model.
Additional features: Blast's bonus includes dynamite or bazooka opportunities when fish symbols or fishermen appear without their collecting counterpart. These are random features, not controls that players can reliably activate.
